About IPM at IIM Indore
The Indian Institute of Management-Indore has launched a five-year integrated programme in management (IPM) — a full five year masters programme. The first batch scheduled this year will have 121 students.
The five-year residential programme allows students to drop out after the degree course, designed to be a mix of essential skill subjects — maths and statistics, history, literature and political science, biological sciences, languages, finance and accounting, economics and information technology. Apart from classroom lectures, IIM-I has a component on international exposure and an internship at a social organization.
IIM Indore has stated that full placement support will be provided to students so that they can find desired jobs to move in career ahead.

1. What are the minimum eligibility conditions?
The candidate must have passed Secondary/ X Std/ equivalent as well as Higher Secondary/ XII Std/ +2 Level/ equivalent examination from any of the recognised central or state boards. Candidates satisfying the following minimum conditions (as given in the table 1) are eligible to apply for five year integrated programme in management (IPM) of IIM Indore. The programme is scheduled to commence in October 2011.
Minimum Eligibility Conditions

Note: SAT‐ 1 Scores obtained during January 1, 2010‐ August 31, 2011 is only valid.Five year Integrated
The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent would be calculated based on the practice followed by the board from where the candidate has obtained the certificate. In case the candidates are awarded grades instead of marks, the conversion of grades to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the board from where they have obtained the certificate.
Candidates appearing for Higher Secondary/ XII Std/+2 Level or equivalent qualifying examination, likely to complete by July 30, 2011, those who have completed final examination requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. However, the candidates who are appearing for Higher Secondary/ XII Std/+2 Level or equivalent examination should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grades up to pre‐final year in case of general and NC‐OBC category and 55% in case of SC, ST and PWD/DA category. Such candidates are required to submit the final result before December 31, 2011.
Age limit: The age of the applicant should not be more than 20 years (should not be more than 22 years in the case of SC, ST and PWD/DA category) as on June 30, 2011.
Reservation and Intake: Government of India reservation norms will be followed while admitting the candidates for the programme and intake will be limited to 121 candidates.
Note: IIM Indore reserves the right to decide the eligibility conditions in terms of equivalence, percentage arks and the recognition of the qualifying examination,intake etc.

2. Are candidates who have applied in response to earlier admission notification released on June 30, 2011 need to apply again?

3. Is it necessary to submit Secondary/ X Std/ equivalent as well as Higher Secondary/ XII Std/ +2 Level/ equivalent examination pass certificate/grade sheet from a recognised board?
Yes, It is advised that candidates submit all the certificates (marksheets/grade sheets, passing certificates etc) of Secondary/ X Std/ equivalent as well as Higher Secondary/ XII Std/ +2 Level/ equivalent examination.
4. Is it necessary to appear for Secondary/ X Std/ equivalent as well as Higher Secondary/ XII Std/ +2 Level/ equivalent examinations conducted by recognised boards of central or state level?
If the marksheets for Class X are not available, the candidates need to provide adequate justification in support of their claim. Further processing of the application would be based on available information related to Class X / +2 examination.
5. What is the application procedure?
Eligible candidates should submit their application in prescribed format (given at www.iimidr.ac.in) so as to reach IIM Indore Admissions Office on or before September 6, 2011 along with non‐refundable application fee of Rs. 1000 (Rupees one thousand only) (Rs. 500 for SC and ST category) with attested copies of all the relevant certificates. Candidates belonging to NC‐OBC, SC, ST and PWD/DA categories need to submit valid and attested certificates in support of their reservation.
6. What is the admission criteria and selection process?
The candidates will be selected on the basis of overall performance in Secondary/ equivalent, Higher Secondary/equivalent, SAT‐1 (if applicable), Aptitude Test and Persona Interview and achievements in extra curricular and other activities.
The admission process is as follows:
Step 1: The candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application in the prescribed format with non‐refundable application fee of Rs. 1000 (Rupees one thousand only) (Rs 500 in case of SC and ST category).
The application form is available at www.iimidr.ac.in
Step2: Based on the applications received, candidates will be shortlisted for Aptitude Test (AT) and Personal Interview (PI) based on their overall performance. Aptitude Test (AT) will be conducted on September 25, 2011. Personal interviews will be conducted during September 26‐28, 2011 at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata and Mumbai.
Step 3: Final selection will be based on the overall performance of the applicant including Secondary, Higher Secondary, SAT‐1, AT and PI and scholastic achievements. IIM Indore will intimate the candidates about their final selection.
Step 4: The selected candidates should send their acceptance of admission offer along with a non‐refundable commitment fee of Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees one lakh only) to IIM Indore on or before specified date. This amount will be adjustable towards the tuition fee payable.
Step 5: The candidates will formally register after fulfilling all the requirements and payment of all necessary fee.

7. What is the name of the programme and duration?
Name of the programme is “Integrated Programme in Management (IPM)” and is a five ‐year regular and fulltime academic (residential) programme.
8. What certificate will be issued and by whom?
Certificate will be “Integrated Diploma in Management (IDM)” and will be awarded by IIM Indore after successful completion of five years of the programme.
9. What are the academic contents of the programme and programme structure?
IPM is a five-year full time programme covered in 15 terms. Candidates those who satisfy the minimum credit requirements in each term will only be promoted to subsequent terms. Details on programme structure and other requirements will be made available on IIM Indore website soon.
10. What are the specializations offered?
Besides the core subject areas offered in the first three years, general functional areas of management subjects will be offered in the fourth year. Candidates can choose suitable mix of electives during fifth year of the programme from areas like Human Resource Management, Finance, Marketing, Operations Management, Strategy, Information technology, entrepreneurship etc.
11. What are the class timings?
The classes will generally be conducted from 0930 Hrs to 1330 Hrs five days a week. The class timings may be extended up to 4 pm on weekdays for syndicate sessions, group discussions and case exercises depending on the academic requirements. The scheduled timings may also change if situation warrants.
12. What is the academic schedule /calendar?
The programme consists of 15 terms (three terms a year). Tentative schedule of first year is given below.

Examination and evaluation process will be designed, conducted, evaluated and certified by IIM Indore. Details regarding evaluation process will be made available after registration to the programme.
14. Is attendance compulsory?
Yes, attendance is compulsory.
15. Who will be the Faculty for the programme?
Faculty will be from IIM Indore, from industry and IIM Indore will draw professionals from across the globe.
16. What are the tuition fee, payment schedule and other fee structure?
Tuition fee is Rs. 3 lakh per annum for first three years and Rs. 5 lakh per annum for the last two years. The tuition fee is payable on term wise. The tuition fee includes library fee, access to sports facilities, computer etc. Hostel fee and food expenses will be additional.

17. What is the maximum intake and reservation scheme?
The proposed intake is limited to 121 candidates and government of India reservation norms will be followed for admission at IIM Indore campus.
18. What are the library facilities offered?
IIM Indore has state-of-the- art library with collection of most of the resources required.
19. Will the background and support materials be provided for reading purposes?
Necessary background /support materials will be provided by IIM Indore. There is no additional cost for supply of materials.

20. Will hostel facilities be provided?
Twin sharing hostel facilities will be provided on payment basis. The estimated expenses would be around Rs. 7000 (Rupees seven thousand only) per month.
21. What are the computer and other facilities available?
IIM Indore has sufficient number of computer terminals established in the lab and necessary infrastructure for students to access various academic resources. IIM Indore has good number of sports and games facilities.
22. Placement support
IIM Indore would provide active support and guidance to candidates of IPM to find appropriate and challenging job opportunities at the end of the programme and internship during the programme.

Yes you are eligible as IIM Indore has asked for 60% aggregate (55% for SC,ST and PWD/DA students) in 10th and 12th standard – for which you will have mark sheet from the board.

I have passed class-X from ICSE Board with 89% mark and 83% in class-XII( CBSE Board) But Class-XI mark is 72%. can IIM authorities confirm me , whether it is compulsory to mention Class-XI marks in the form or Class X & XII marks ?

You can download the application but a hard copy needs to be sent to IIM Indore with attested certificates and application fee. There is no option to fill the form fully online.
